Analysis of the theoretical aspects and the practical applications of the biotechnological methods for the improvement of cultures. Discussion of the technologies associated with the use of plants as expression systems and means to produce substances with biomedical, agricultural and environmental value. Emphasis on the development of plants with high nutritional value and as bioreactors.
