ELEN 6330 Design and Modeling of Power Distribution Systems

Modeling, analysis and design of power distribution systems. Modeling of load characteristics, unbalanced three-phase overhead and underground distribution lines and distribution transformers. Modeling of devices such as regulators and capacitors to mitigate voltage regulation problems and power losses. Design and analysis of primary distribution system including automation, reliability and power flow. Emphasis in the use of computational tools for the modeling of distribution systems.
