Study of metabolic transformations that chemical compounds and biopolymers undergo at cellular level. Physiological studies that include bioenergetics, vitamin and hormone metabolism, anabolism and catabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins, production of energy through the cycle of tricarbocyclic acid and oxidation phosphorilation.
