Analysis of the social use of language. It includes the following topics: pragmatics, oral language structure, sociocultural differences in communicative strategies and linguistic forms; Multilingualism and its role in the language in building and maintaining social relationships. Emphasis on the role and use of English in Puerto Rico, at all levels especially in the context of English learners (ELLs)
