Analysis of the main components of biostatistics to specific situations of public health. Application of techniques for the calculation of measures of central tendency, variability, hypothesis testing, sampling and statistical power. Emphasis on the determination of the types and sources of data in public health and on the scientific interpretation of the data collected.
