EDUC 8490 Family Violence: Theory and Intervention
Review of the macro systemic factors associated with family violence in the context of the cultural phenomenon of the Puerto Rican society. Analysis of the research and theories of social violence. Includes the studies of gender as a framework for the conceptualization and interventions in counseling, among others. Emphasis on relevant ethical and legal aspects.
