Technical Certificate Programs Catalog 2025-2026

International Student Admission

For the InterAmerican University of PR, an international student is one who is admitted from another jurisdiction, regardless of the modality and duration of the program, as well as whether or not they must complete an immigration procedure.

Admission to technical programs requires that the applicant have completed secondary studies equivalent to the high school graduation requirements in Puerto Rico.

International students may be admitted by meeting the following requirements:

1. Complete the electronic admission application at: https://www.inter.edu/admisiones-2/

2. Presenting an official high school transcript with proof of grade equivalency issued by a recognized credential evaluation agency.

3. Certified bank letter issued by a financial institution that demonstrates financial solvency.

4. Sworn statement before a notary public that affirms the economic capacity to support oneself while pursuing the university degree.

5. Valid passport with no less than one (1) year expiration.

Once the applicant is admitted, the Admissions Office will complete the I-20 form from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services so that they can complete the process to obtain the student visa (M-1).

Students admitted to fully distance study do not have to complete requirements 3, 4, and 5.
