Includes the study of infectious diseases and other common childhood conditions. Emphasis on the immunization schedule. Relationship between health and nutrition. Importance of breast feeding and good nutrition. Planning a menu that responds to the nutritional needs of children. The appropriate first aid practices to treat common accidents; emphasis on emergency plans and simulations and the function of the teacher in planning a safe and healthy environment inside and outside the school.
