BIOT 7120 Proteomics

Analysis of the function of individual proteins or protein collection within an organism. Application of current methodologies used to identify and analyze proteins. It includes protein electrophoresis, chromatography, mass spectrometry and analysis using protein databases to generate comparison between tissues. Evaluation of new tools for the analysis of proteins involved in metabolic pathways. Analysis of cases derived from current scientific literature is required. Requires 30 hours of conference and 45 hours of laboratory.
