BIOT 7140 Bioinformatics

Computerized analysis of the structure of nucleic acids and proteins. Emphasis on the study of genomes, transcripts, proteomes, gene manipulation, generation and management of sequences and structural information. Examination of the fundamental properties of genes, chromosomes and genetic alterations using the available bioinformatics tools to extract and analyze the information. It requires 30 hours of conference and 45 hours of open laboratory.
