Digital Marketing and Electronic Commerce (MBA)

The Master of Business Administration with a specialty in Digital Marketing and Electronic Commerce has been designed to prepare professionals who can collect information, analyze it, and use it to develop marketing strategies through the Internet. The student will be able to acquire the necessary knowledge that will allow them to apply creative and innovative solutions using digital marketing and electronic commerce through social networks, among other means of communication. The degree enables the incorporation of emerging technologies in the main areas of digital marketing and electronic commerce that exist in the current business context and in the global economy to digitally enhance a business. The student will have a vision of the new technologies that have transformed business models and the internationalization of organizations.

The Guayama Campus is authorized to offer this program through distance education.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:

  1. digital marketing through emerging technological tools for creating online businesses.
  2. the successful strategies for the different online marketing channels in order to design a digital advertising campaign.
  3. the factors that affect business operations at the local, international and global levels related to digital marketing and electronic commerce.
  4. the canons of ethics and cyber social responsibility when conducting digital business.

Skills:

  1. Identify the necessary communication tools for the creation of content strategies in social and digital media.
  2. Prepare and interpret quantitative analyzes of data collected from the Web using statistical measurement metrics.
  3. Recognize the local and global factors of the digital business environment that affect the application of business strategies to obtain competitive advantage.

Attitudes:

  1. Recognize the importance of ethical and social behavior in carrying out business activities on the Internet.
  2. Demonstrate a global vision of business using new technological trends and openness to markets.
  3. Assess the economic situation recognizing its impact on digital marketing and electronic commerce at the local, federal, global and international levels.

Graduation Requirements

In order to fulfill the requirements for graduation from the Master's Degree at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, the student must:

1. Have met the satisfactory academic progress standard at the graduate level.
2. Have approved the thirty-six (36) credits of the program with a general academic index of no less than 3.00
