Economic Crimes Research (MA)
The Master of Arts in Economic Crimes Research is aimed at effectively training professionals in the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of economic crimes, through the development of advanced skills and knowledge in the use of new technologies and techniques of research related to this field.
The purpose of this Program is to develop research in state and federal government, as well as in private institutions.
The Metropolitan Campus is authorized to offer this program.

The Program is designed to develop the skills that allow the student:
Knowledge
- Recognize the socioeconomic, ethical, political, technological, cultural and legal factors that affect the commission of economic crimes.
- Analyze areas of risk and compliance in order to avoid losses to both the public and private organizations for which it works.
- Evaluate the individual and collective data that allow the design and development of prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution plans for economic crimes.
Skills
- Design strategic plans aimed at the prevention, detection and investigation of different types of economic crimes, within an organization.
- Determine the use of applicable technology in the analysis and investigation of economic crimes.
Attitudes
- Demonstrate the interpersonal, practical and ethical skills of an economic crime investigator.
- Appreciate the impact that economic crimes have on national and international trade.
Graduation Requirements
- Approve all specialization requirements with a minimum grade of B.
