Education Specialist Certificate in Educational Management and Leadership
The Educational Specialist Certificate in Educational Management and Leadership is a doctoral-level program, which will provide the opportunity to expand professional skills to students interested in this specialty.
The Educational Specialist in Educational Management and Leadership is expected to develop a broad and systematic understanding of education, specific and in-depth knowledge in the areas of educational management and leadership, and the ability to integrate and apply theoretical concepts of education in the current educational context. If the student wishes, he or she may choose to continue his or her studies to fulfill the requirements of the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.).
The San Germán Campus is authorized to offer the Education Specialist Certificate in Educational Management and Leadership.

The Educational Specialist Certificate Program in Educational Management and Leadership is designed to develop the competencies that allow the student to demonstrate the following competencies:

Design, develop and implement organizational development programs that meet the needs of students within the framework of the corresponding institutional, cultural, and social contexts.

Design, develop and implement evaluation processes of appropriate educational programs, in accordance with the various institutional, educational, and sociocultural contexts.

Admission requirements
The admission requirements for the Education Specialist Certificate in Educational Management and Leadership are the same as the admission requirements for the Doctoral Program in Education for the specialty in Educational Management and Leadership.
Students must apply to be admitted to the Educational Specialist Certificate in Educational Management and Leadership.
The acceptance of said application and admission to the Educational Specialist Certificate in Educational Management and Leadership, and its subsequent obtaining, will not prevent the student from being able to request to continue his studies in the Doctoral Program in Education and complete it with all its remaining requirements following current regulations.
Graduation requirements
Students must meet the following requirements:

Pass all required courses with a minimum of “B”

Pass the comprehensive exam in all its parts (written and oral), for which you will have a maximum of 3 opportunities.
Students of the Educational Specialist Certificate in Educational Management and Leadership will have up to eight years to complete the established requirements.
Students in the Doctoral Program in Education (Ed. D.) may apply for the Education Specialist Certificate, if they meet its requirements, if for any reason they are unable to fulfil the requirements of the Ed. D.
