NURS 6221 Medical-Surgical Nursing I

Analysis of the pathophysiological responses of the disease process that affect adult functioning in alterations of the following systems: immune, integumentary, digestive and gastrointestinal, endocrine and metabolic, and renal. Examination of the nursing process taking into account cultural diversity and evidence-based practice. Analysis of ethical/legal aspects, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. Discussion of treatment modalities, including advanced pharmacology, to treat health disorders.
