General Catalog 2025-2026

MMBP 4200 Expression Systems for Therapeutic Biological Products

Discussion and application of recombinant DNA techniques used to design vectors that deliver instructions to cells to produce therapeutic biomolecules safe for human consumption. The main cellular strategies used to produce therapeutic biomolecules such as small proteins, antibodies, growth factors, DNA, and RNA will be discussed. The ethical and legal aspects of pharmaceutical bioprocesses will be considered, highlighting the regulatory requirements of the agencies responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of the processes used in the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals suitable for human use.
