Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Gerontology (MA)
Program description
The program seeks to train human services professionals with the necessary skills to work from a biopsychosocial and spiritual perspective in matters related to the provision of services to older adults.
This academic offering - Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Gerontology and Professional Certificate in Interdisciplinary Gerontology (post-baccalaureate) has been delineated so that people with diverse professional and academic backgrounds who wish to undertake specialized professional practice with older adults, may despair of policy development. social, service administration, physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual health interventions, and that it responds to a comprehensive perspective.
To obtain the degree of Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Gerontology, students will take the 30 credits of the program. Students who wish to do so may opt for a Professional Certificate in Interdisciplinary Gerontology, if they complete the first two quarters and the special topics course, ending with 18 credits.

Admission requirements
Students applying for admission to the master's degree in Interdisciplinary Gerontology, or the Certificate (Post-Baccalaureate) must meet the admission requirements of the current programs at the Institution and the following requirement:

Possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline, from an accredited college or university.

Have passed a human development course or its equivalent at the high school level with a minimum of C.
