COMP 3401 Software Engineering I (Capstone)

Discussion of software engineering concepts. Description of the approaches, models, and methodologies that inform decisions and processes in the industry. Exploration of the stages of software development with emphasis on requirements capture, analysis, and documentation, as well as solution design and project management. Analysis of a problem and generation of documents containing requirements, acceptance criteria, and solution design. Discussion of the importance of continuing professional development and awareness of the social, ethical-legal, professional, and security issues and responsibilities in the discipline. Requires 30 lecture hours and 30 closed laboratory hours.
