Master of Science in Logistics and Technology Management (MS)

The Master of Science in Logistics and Technology Management prepares students for management positions related to logistics and operations in the government, military, and private sectors.

Students receive an education in the use of technology for logistics and the operation of products and services that distinguishes them from other professionals and makes them more competitive in the public and private sectors. Areas of study include procurement, sustainability, integrated logistics, collaborative supply chains, distribution management, and process optimization.

The Metropolitan Campus is authorized to offer this program as a distance learning program.

Program Goals:

1.  To train professionals skilled in technology for innovation in the logistics and management industry.

2. To empower professionals with knowledge of emerging trends that may impact the future of logistics and supply chain management.

3. To develop professionals with knowledge of international trade structures and the complexities involved in expanding logistics and management operations globally.

Program Objectives:

1.  Adopt appropriate logistics and technology management strategies to optimize inventories throughout supply chains.

2. Analyze current technological solutions for distribution and transportation network design.

3. Develop problem-solving and decision-making skills in logistics and management.

4. Use appropriate metrics and data analysis tools to track and optimize the performance of supply chain networks.

5. Evaluate purchasing and procurement policies and procedures and propose effective sourcing strategies.

2. Assess the performance of managerial functions, considering the ethical and legal aspects that govern the profession. 

Admission Requirements

1.  Hold a bachelor's degree in business or a related field from an accredited university.

2. Have a minimum academic grade point average (GPA) of 2.50.

3. Demonstrate, through an examination or other appropriate means as determined by the academic department or division, the ability to interpret professional material in both Spanish and English, and the ability to express oneself effectively in writing in both languages.

4. Submit an essay discussing one's professional career and interest in this academic program.

Graduation Requirements

1.  Meet the academic requirements for the master's degree described in the Graduate Catalog.

2. Pass all program courses with a minimum GPA of 3.00.

3. Pass LOTM 6900 Applied Project with a grade of B or higher.
