Research Methods (Post-Bachelor Professional Certificate)

The Professional Certificate Program in Research Methods aims to develop competent professionals in the research area. It is aimed to students graduated from programs from different disciplines who wish to develop their research skills at an intermediate level. It promotes interest in research as a tool to develop new knowledge and decisions-making. The graduates of this program will develop these skills to conduct quality research in various scenarios.

The San Germán Campus is authorized to offer this Certificate.

Knowledge

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:

  1. The methodology and terminology of various types of research.
  2. Different statistical methods for problem solving and for the decision making process.
  3. Different computerized programs for statistical analysis.

Skills

  1. Write research proposals and other documents using professional language.
  2. Develop research using various research methodologies.
  3. Interpret data using statistical methods and computerized programs.

Attitudes

  1. Value the ethical principles that apply to research.
  2. Respect the regulations that regulate research.
  3. Express interest in developing research in search of problem solving in various scenarios.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the program, the student must:

  1. Comply with the admission requirements for master's programs and Professional Certificates, as established in the current Graduate Catalog.
  2. Submit an essay indicating the research area of interest.
  3. Have passed a Basic Statistics course, or its equivalent, with a minimum grade of C.
